If you are with DHS or immigration, let us know as we will have to cancel your reservation. Please pass this info to your coworkers.\u201d<br \/>\nSo DHS was livid, and wrote:<br \/>\n\u201cNO ROOM AT THE INN! @HiltonHotels has launched a coordinated campaign in Minneapolis to REFUSE service to DHS law enforcement.\u201d<br \/>\n\u201cThis is UNACCEPTABLE.\u201d<br \/>\nAnd reactions fell along party lines, right, with some applauding Hilton, arguing that DHS deserves this, that ICE agents should be refused rooms.<br \/>\nAnd others were on DHS\u2019s side, thinking Hilton is discriminating against ICE.<br \/>\nFor its part, Hilton did not confirm the validity of the emails, but a spokesperson did respond to the situation.<br \/>\nTelling multiple news outlets that the hotel in question is independently owned and operated, and the actions did not reflect the company\u2019s values, explaining:[]<br \/>\n\u201cWe have been in direct contact with the hotel, and they have apologized for the actions of their team, which was not in keeping with their policies.
