How to Read Your Health Indicators Fast!

Quickly understand your health with this guide to key health indicators found in a blood test, including cholesterol, protein, and albumin. Knowing your levels helps you stay informed and proactive about your health. Prioritize your health status and overall wellness by understanding these important numbers.

IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
The health indicator ranges provided in this video are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are based on commonly accepted reference intervals but should NOT be used for self-diagnosis or to replace professional medical advice.

PLEASE NOTE:
• These are general guidelines, not personal targets. “Normal” ranges can vary between different laboratories based on their testing methods and equipment. Always refer to the specific reference range printed on your own lab report.

• Context is everything. A value within the normal range does not always mean “optimal” for your individual health profile. Interpretation must consider your age, genetics and full medical history.

• Consult a healthcare professional. Always discuss your lab results with a doctor or qualified health provider. Only they can provide an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan based on a complete clinical picture.

Key Nuances from This Video:
• LDL Cholesterol: While under 100 mg/dL is a good general goal, higher-risk individuals may need to aim for under 70 mg/dL.
• HDL Cholesterol: The values given (over 40 mg/dL for men, over 50 mg/dL for women) are minimum thresholds. For better cardiovascular protection, levels above 60 mg/dL are often desired.
• Fasting Insulin: The wide “normal” range (2-20 µIU/mL) can be misleading. Levels consistently above 10 µIU/mL may suggest insulin resistance, and an optimal range is often considered to be 3-8 µIU/mL.

You are responsible for your own health. Do not make changes to your diet, lifestyle, or medication based solely on the information in this video.
By watching this video, you agree that you understand this disclaimer and will not use this information as a substitute for professional medical advice.
